Forklift Specialist

Job Description for Forklift Specialist:

This position plays a significant role in the Distribution House, actively engaging in its daily operations. Tasks performed encompass various responsibilities such as handling incoming stock and materials, operating lift trucks, and carrying out manual duties related to order processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the workplace is secure and well-kept:
• Maintain the cleanliness of shelves, pallet zones, and workstations.
• Clean the floors by sweeping, dusting, and mopping whenever necessary.
• Maintain tidiness in the warehouse and designated work spaces for consistent organization.
• Load and position items in trailers, pallet positions, and pallet shelving.
• Provide support with organizing spaces for optimal storage solutions.
• Utilize portable electronic devices for receiving and organizing daily job duties.
• Use motorized machinery such as forklifts and pallet jacks for transporting goods.
• Carry out additional tasks in the warehouse as directed by the supervisor or managerial staff.

Qualifications:

• Proficient operation of electrically-powered equipment is a prerequisite.
• Capability to complete manual duties within a warehouse setting.
• Completion of high school education or its equivalent, such as a GED, or relevant work experience is required.
• Obtaining forklift certification involves completing training and meeting the requirements to operate a forklift safely.
• Having a year of warehouse experience is preferred, although it is not mandatory but considered advantageous.
