Job Description for Operations Supervisor:

One of the main responsibilities of the Operations Supervisor is to oversee and synchronize the tasks performed by staff members engaged in the processes of ordering, picking, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts within a warehouse or yard of moderate size.

Position Responsibilities for Operations Supervisor:

• Direct the control, synchronization, and review of warehouse operations.
• Assure the accurate execution and adherence to all policies and procedures associated with picking, packing, sending, receiving, and managing inventory.
• Instruct and evaluate warehouse personnel on optimal inventory strategies and their routine tasks.
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent excessive shrinkage and maintain stock control.
• Conduct physical audits of stock levels to ensure consistency between actual inventory and recorded amounts.
• Efficiently plan and supervise the warehouse workforce, adhering to budgetary limitations and labor constraints, to accommodate the facility's operational needs.
• Maintain the proper functioning of equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, and company vehicles through regular upkeep and adherence to inspection guidelines.

Requirements for Operations Supervisor:

• Priority is given to candidates with a high school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated leadership expertise in warehouse or distribution center operations over a three-year period.
• Demonstrated familiarity with Microsoft Excel over a two-year period.
• Two years of hands-on experience examining data connected with processes, pinpointing potential areas for improvement, and proposing suggestions for refinement.
