Job Description for Retail Assistant Leader:

The Retail Assistant Leader assumes a critical position within our leadership team, providing guidance to teammates, backing store operations, and ensuring the maintenance of visual merchandising and service standards. This role also acts in place of the Assistant Store Manager and could be tasked with opening and closing duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Once individuals turn 18, they are seen as fully fledged adults according to legal requirements
• Achieving a high school diploma or a similar replacement is crucial
• - Over twelve months of experience working in retail
• Able to accommodate a 40-hour work schedule, which may involve working during evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Adept at navigating and operating technological gadgets, like mobile devices
• Excellent communication skills
• Having the capacity to pick up objects weighing up to 25 lbs and stand or walk for long periods

Physical Requirements:

• Capable of transporting or managing items with a weight limit of up to 25 lbs (12 kg)
• Remain upright and mobile for an extended time frame with periodic short pauses
• Unrestricted mobility within the store premises covering the sales floor, back area, and cash register

Qualifications:

• Clear and articulate communication skills
• Capable of articulating proficiently in the regional dialect and demonstrating fundamental English aptitude
• Proficient in navigating computer programs and retail technology platforms
• Able to easily transition to unfamiliar methods and resources
• Expertise in store management procedures, visual display strategies, stock supervision, and compliance requirements
• Awareness of employment laws at different governmental levels such as federal, state, and local is necessary for ensuring legal compliance
• Seasoned in sales tactics and versed in the exemplary practices within the retail field
